The intense match between White Noise. [WN] and RvB - RED Federation [RVB-R] showed a dramatic final and WN winning after points.

WN fielded two faction battleships, a Bhaalgorn and a Machariel, one Hurricane, two Lachesis for sensor dampening, a logistics and several smaller ships. RVB-R countered this with mainly some ranged Caldari missile boats: three Tengus and three Drakes plus Ferox and Stiletto. This gave RVB-R the advantage of staying out of WN's range but still being able to deliver damage. WN however had the advantage of the Lachesises with their sensor dampeners.

WN staged their ships at medium ranged distances, RVB-R at the far end of the arena, utilizing the advantage of their long ranging missiles.

The match began and RVB-R's Stiletto was killed swiftly, WN losing a Thrasher in exchange. While WN then focused their damage onto one of RVB-R's Drakes, RVB-R pounded WN's Hurricane with a blob of missiles. As result both ships exploded in fierce balls of fire. WN then went after a Tengu, RVB-R tried to kill the opposing Oneiros and the remaining Thrasher and Sabre. Both teams succeeded with their attempt, RVB-R was additionally able to kill one Lachesis and WN another Drake.

This left WN with the Bhaalgorn, Machariel and Lachesis against RVB-R's two Tengus, one Drake and one Ferox. At this point a Tengu pilot, M4n1c M1n3r, flew out of the arena and was immediately destroyed as penalty. WN were able to kill RVB-R's Ferox, giving them the upper hand in the match. However, WN's remaining Lachesis also flew out of the arena and was destroyed as well.

Now it was a battle of Bhaalgorn and Machariel against a Tengu and Drake. While WN managed to kill the Drake, leaving RVB-R with one Tengu left, its pilot Motty 007, faced a difficult challenge. The Bhaalgorn was already severely damaged and so it was a really thrilling and nerve wrecking fight to see those three ships slugging it out. The Tengu was able to chew through the Bhaalgorn's heavy structure, destroying it completely, but not before its own shields failed and it started receiving armor damage.

With only 20 seconds left to the match, the Tengu pilot was able to keep the ship stubbornly together and managed to survive the battle, yet the match was lost and WN declared victor based on points.

Both teams agreed that this was an exciting and thrilling match, just as it should be and that their opponent was strong. OhYeah from WN said "We are pleased to defeat an uncomfortable opponent" and continued "It was a close, even and i hope exciting match."

M4n1c M1n3r spoke for the RVB-R team when she said that "We [..] hopefully put on a good show for everyone watching." and that she is pleased how far they advanced already against all odds "RvB weren't expected to get through to the Group stages and I think plenty will have written us off early." Jokingly she added "We fly more than just T1 frigs - though we do love our frigs."
