Aggravated Assault [-217-] fielded a mixed Minmatar and Angel Cartel fleet consisting of two Machariels, two Dramiels, a Sleipnir, a Scimitar, a Huginn and three Sabres. WE FORM VOLTRON [ASMBL] fielded a shield tanking, mixed race fleet consisting of Minmatar, Caldari, Gallente, Angel Cartel and Guardian Angel ships.

The match started with the -217- Machariels burning away from the ASMBL fleet, which immediately started burning towards their forces, with the Vindicator breaking all known space speed limits. The close range engagement quickly lead to a situation in which only the -217- Machariel was left on field, while ASMBL lost only three of their vessels. The ASMBL fleet, using a horde of tech two Hobgoblin and Hammerhead drones engaged the last Machariel in close combat that caused them to lose three ships to the Machariels smartbombs with the last victim exploding in almost the exact same moment as the Machariel.

Dakaris Zulu, the fleet lead for -217- stated after the match, that his team had to replace a few pilots shortly before the fight what made them less prepared for it, but also added that "the opposition were a good bunch of pilots and the experience showed true”.

Saldarine, the ASMBL fleet commander explained the strange type of setup they fielded by saying that "Aggravated Assault were expecting us to field a very strong opening team, so they were going to try and counter that as best as they could, and if you want to counter a team that's countering a strong setup, counter their counter by bringing a terrible setup, and what's more terrible than shield tank Gallente ships and a basilisk?”. Saldarine also explained their simple tactic of bringing as much dps as possible instead of ecm or other counter measures. The ASMBL team allegedly had, including drones and module overload, over seven and a half thousand dps. He would also like to wish their enemies in the next round "the best of luck”.
