Circle-Of-Two Administer Stern Spanking to Important Internet Spaceship League

Reported by: Amaari Yolkia

The Important Internet Spaceship League [BDEAL] has their ego downsized after a crushing four and a half-minute long slaughter by Circle-Of-Two [CO2].

BDEAL began by positioning the bulk of their fleet at the centre of the arena, leaving their guardian quite some distance out. While their opponents CO2 decided to spread their fleet out, with some in the centre, and the others at a range of distances.

The match started with CO2 immediately splitting their forces into two groups, those near the centre focused who focused their anger at Grandis Fustis’s Hurricane, while the others charged towards the isolated Guardian. BDEAL concentrated their efforts on the bun fight in the centre, targeting Sidzo’s Hurricane.

Before having a chance to even blink the first ship was down, as CO2 neutralised the Hurricane, rapidly followed by Blamagemeter’s Harbinger. It took a while, but BDEAL responded, destroying the Hurricane piloted by Sidzo. Not to be shaken CO2 avenged the loss by melting Morvyn’s Brutix for scrap.

It went from bad to worse for BDEAL, as they lost their logistical support; pop went Keridia Redekos’ Guardian. This lynch pin was the final straw, as the remaining BDEAL ships made like lemmings and fell. The match concluded with CO2 holding the field with all but one of the ships they started with, an impressive display of force.

After the match Morvyn, team captain for CO2, talked about their defeat: “We went for a close-range setup, and they did exactly the same - I think it mostly came down to the massive fire-power the Abaddon can field in comparison to our Battlecruisers. They also had a lot of damps on our Guardian, which hurt our survivability a lot.”

When asked if they might consider participating again, he said: “In the next tournament? Of course. We are, after all, the Important Internet Spaceship League - we are enough of a Big Deal that it would be crazy NOT to include us next year.”
