Pandemic Legion Stealth Bombers Torpedo Indecisive Certainty

A Pandemic Legion [-10.0] fleet balancing ECM with potent damage-dealing claimed a flawless victory against Indecisive Certainty's [AWFUL] shielded fleet.

Indecisive Certainty suffered a minor setback at the start of the match when their Kitsune was moving after the warp in and was penalised to half its defences. With that resolved, the initial team setups put both at roughly 50km from the central beacon though Pandemic Legion dropped their larger ships (Zenst's Eos, Shamis Oroz's Curse and Admiral Goberius' Brutix) into the arena at mid-range, around 30km from the beacon.

The match kicked off with AWFUL lancing laser-fire from their Nightmares (flown by RIddIC and Faltzs) into one of Pandemic Legion's Rooks, trying to thin out the amount of ECM that could be wielded against them. -10.0, meanwhile, salted the field with light and medium combat drones and quickly swept AWFUL's only dedicated ECM ship - the Kitsune, flown by Mrs Swallows - into the scrapyard. The -10.0 drone swarm homed in on Xellss' Thrasher, tearing it to shreds while the fleet itself engaged with Faltzs' Nightmare, pounding the Sansha battleship with torpedo fire while the Curse drained the power it needed for its lasers and any local repair systems. The Indecisive Certainty Basilisk, flown by Midlands Hoover, was unable to aid the Nightmare with 2 Rooks and 2 Kitsune fighting any attempt for it to lock its team-mates and Pandemic Legion's remote sensor dampeners were effectively keeping the rest of the team from intervening, so the Nightmare was gradually consumed by the relentless barrage of fire.

The string of Pandemic Legion drones went off in pursuit of Ashoka Tano's Thrasher but the little destroyer wasn't quite fast enough to stay out of their range. With the Thrasher devoured, the drones flowed back to their owners, who surrounded RIddIC's [AWFUL] Nightmare, picking up Diamond VI's Cormorant on the way. RIddIC was pumping capacitor boosters in an effort to maintain his local repair, but Shamiz Oroz's Curse drained away his power as quickly as he mustered it and the Nightmare fell.

Midlands Hoover's Basilisk was surrounded by a halo of torpedo shockwaves but it was his comrade, Mindreaper, flying a Vulture Command Ship, that was next to perish. The Pandemic Legion Manticores (flown by Fintroll and Morkt Drakt) switched their fire to the helplessly-jammed Vulture, slamming Juggernaut torpedoes into its hull while that cloud of drones chewed away at its armor. With the Vulture dead, the Basilisk could no longer draw on its gang links to reinforce its own shield defences, and the logistics ship shattered, expelling it's pilot's pod into the cold of vacuum.

From there, Indecisive Certainty had only a single pilot remaining, irion felpamy, their Vargur pilot. The Vargur is not known for being either the sturdiest or most fearsome of the Marauder-class ships, and this one was jammed, damped, out of capacitor, covered in drones and being shot. Seven minutes and 44 seconds from the start of the match, it finally broke apart under fire, granting Pandemic Legion a flawless victory.
