Atlas B-Team 'Blanket Men' Smothers Morsus Mihi's 'Scooty Puff Junior Alliance'

A fast and brutal match between the two tiny alliances Scooty Puff Junior Alliance (PUFF) and Blanket Men (BLMEN) proved to be a thinly-veiled battle between two much larger alliances; Atlas Alliance (ATLAS) and Morsus Mihi (RAWR).



Neither ATLAS nor RAWR initially received a slot in the Tournament. BLMEN spokesman ookke said, "We bought this slot because atlas didnt make it into the tournament initially, and scooty puff was a morsus mihi B team, for the exact same reasons; then both morsus mihi and atlas got in only a few days before the tournament and had to field 'A-teams' also."

BLMEN's lineup, of two Stilettos, a Jaguar, two Nighthawks, a Drake, and two Tengus, was characteristic of the hard-hitting shield tanked setups that have been prevalant in the tournament so far. PUFF fielded a much more unorthodox setup, of two Dominixes, an Iteron V, two Proteus strategic cruisers, a shield-tanked Onieros, and an armor-tanked Vulture.

PUFF's spokesman Crunchip explained the decisions made in the setup, "Our setup was based on keeping the oneiros alive with the xl shield booster. My vulture was armor tanked too and with dampeners, target painter and tracking disruptor in the medslots. It was designed to support the shield tanked oneiros with the ganglinks - less signature, less cap use and better cycle time for the shield booster of the oneiros."

Unfortunately for PUFF, the Onieros crumpled within the first thirty seconds of the fight, and with it, the backbone of PUFF's fleet. In only six minutes, BLMEN had destroyed the entire PUFF fleet, including its two valuable strategic cruisers, with no losses.

Though their alliance was allegedly founded in part by the recent theft of Razor Alliance assets by Drago Musevenii, BLMEN spokesmen ookke denies being funded with stolen ISK; the Alliance's public description reads, "Property of Drago Musevenii. Financed By Fred0."
