GoonSwarm Triumphs Over Former Allies RAZOR Alliance

GoonSwarm [OHGOD]flew in the face of their own name, fielding a focused and disciplined fleet against their former allies in Delve, RAZOR Alliance [-RZR-] of the Northern Coalition. High damage output and a surprisingly fast fleet carried the day for the "little bees."

GoonSwarm: 2 x Nightmare | 2 x Golem | 2 x Sabre | Scimitar | Cormorant

The match kicked off in savage style as Ribeye Jaksom [OHGOD] and Mangoris Venator [-RZR-] swapped a Sabre for a Rook, then Two Knives [OHGOD] and Jallen Sims [-RZR-] exchanged a Sabre for a Basilisk. The intense, accurate fire of the Nightmares picked off the two Caldari cruisers easily, leaving -RZR- handicapped by the loss of their only e-war and their only logistic vessel.

The Northern Coalition alliance let loose flights of Hornet EC-300s and BobFromMarketing [OHGOD] came under fire from -RZR- next as they aimed to pick off ships with the lowest ratio of defences to damage output, but in turn they sacrificed Kaildoth's Golem, the OHGOD Nightmares' lasers striking the Marauder's shields at their weakest frequency.

The second RAZOR Golem followed in less than a minute, leaving Muadeeb Dusil floating in a pod next to a mangled wreck named "Blame Heath." -RZR- were left fighting with two Ishkurs, a Taranis and two Drakes to their name, while OHGOD still had a Scimitar, two Nightmares and a pair of Golems. The Golems lit up QTab's [-RZR-] Drake with target painters and swiftly dismantled the ship. Darkopteron's Taranis (flying for -RZR-) fell next, apparently webbed as he slowed to a mere 524m/s.

The Goons continued to keep their fire tightly focused, moving on to spyrule's Drake, leaving only Gran Fronde and Quintus Sertorius, both flying Ishkurs, for RAZOR Alliance. Gran Fronde was next to fall, 10 minutes into the match, and Quintus followed him seconds later.

GoonSwarm left the field with a strong victory under their belts, having fielded an excellent counter to RAZOR's EM-vulnerable fleet, but RAZOR have the points for the Sabres and Cormorant they took down, so for them, much depends on tomorrow.
