Verge of Collapse Teaches Mildly Intoxicated Not to Drink and Fly

In the third match of the quarter-finals, Verge of Collapse(CRIT-) taught Mildly Intoxicated (-TWATS-) a lesson they won't be forgetting.

-TWATS- came in style, sporting two Sleipnirs, a Scimitar, three Gilas, two Sabres and four Merlins, while -CRIT- brought two Kronoses, an Eos, a Brutix, an Oneiros, two Sentinels, four Ishkurs, a Maulus and the kitchen sink.

The match started unspectacularly, unless you count the aerobatics display as both teams went wildly careening across the arena, and it was almost two minutes before -CRIT- managed a kill on a -TWATS- Sleipnir and two Sabres almost in the same moment (possibly a sign of uncoordinated fire, possibly a sign of THAT MUCH DPS.)

-TWATS- managed to do some damage, taking out the -CRIT- logistics Oneiros, followed shortly by a Kronos and a Maulus, but they were hemorrhaging ships, and shortly before the two-minute warning only two -TWATS- ships, a Gila and a Merlin, remained.

These two dodged the foe for several seconds before the Gila died, but Ovenproofjet's Merlin managed to evade his pursuers until match end, depriving -CRIT- of the cleansweep victory they had clearly been hoping for.

The referee had to remind the -CRIT- pilots that they were to stop shooting at the end of the match.

-CRIT- will be advancing to the semi-finals with a score of 122.5 to -TWATS-' 52.00 points.
